Baptism is a significant step in the Christian faith, symbolizing the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It's an outward expression of an inward transformation, publicly declaring one's commitment to follow Christ.
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism involves immersing a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This act symbolizes the believer's old life being buried and their new life in Christ being raised. As Romans 6:4 states, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."
SHOULD I BE BAPTIZED?
If you've placed your faith in Jesus Christ, baptism is the next step in your spiritual journey. It's an act of obedience to Christ's command and a public profession of your faith. As our pastor often says, baptism is like "putting a ring on it"βit's your decision to commit to Christ and serve Him.
